Iron nadekakugata (square with round edges) tsuba, with an iroe takazogan design (inlaying of various metals).
The design represents on one side a doe in a scenery illuminated by the moon, and on the other side a waterfall, inlayed in iroe takazogan of gold, silver, shakudo and shibuichi.
In the japanese folklore, the doe looking at the moon is a symbol of autumn.
