Nagamaru gata tsuba made of sentoku-do (gilded brass), decorated in katakiri-bori (an engraving technique made with a chisel, imitating India ink painting) and silver taka-zogan.
The design depicts the poet Jittoku sweeping the ground, surrounded by two butterflies and a pine branch.
The poet Jittoku is a taoïst character from a chinese legend, and is always depicted carrying a broom. He is traditionally portrayed along his friend Kanzan, also a poeat and depicted with a scroll.
