Shinto blade and mid Edo period mountings.

Kanmuri otoshi zukuri blade, muzori, muji hada, midare ba. Naginata hi and soe bi blades.

Nashiji lacquer on the ends and brown lacquer on the center of the saya, decorated with three bengara lacquer mon.

The mon shown are the following:

1 : « Sasa no maru » mon, shaped as dwarf bamboo in a round shape.
Secondary mon of the Hotta from Sano, the Inaba from Yodo and Tateyama.

2 : « Fuji » mon, shaped as wisteria.
Non attributed mon.

3 : « Sasa rindo » mon, shaped as gentians.
Main mon of the Minamoto and the following kuge : Aya no Koji, Fujioji, Horikawa, Itsutsuji, Iwakura, Kuze, Minami, Nishitsutsuji, Niwada, Otagi, Takakura, Uyematsu.
Secondary mon of the Hondo.

"En suite" iron fuchi kashira, kurikata and kojiri, ciselled with dragonflies, their legs enhanced with gold.
Suaka menuki, shaped like « sasa rindo » and « fuji » mon. The shark skin on the tsuka is lacquered in red. Iron tsuba.
Shakudo kozuka with a nanako background, ornated with a wisteria in gold and silver takazogan.

A mechanism in the scabbard allows to hide coins or small ingots.
