An Edo vibrant jingasa disk shaped hat of Kanshitsu (dry lacquer) with slight central rise covered in tataki-nuri textured black lacquer with striking gold designs of diamond-shaped flower hanabishi. This design was used as a kamon for several samurai clan.
\nThe underside is completely gilded with genuine gold. There is a diaper from which a type of cloth shade could be attached to protect the back of te head and neck from sun.
