Buddhist preast headdress made of silk brocade. It is decorated with embroidered flowers and folliage scrolls on a beige background. This hat was used by high rank monks from one of the main Buddhist sects, the Nichiren-shū.

This sort of headdress, also called sumibōshi or hat with angles, is worn in Noh and Kyogen theaters for monk parts.
