Description
Coconut snuff bottle carved on one side with a recessed panel with a stippled red ground, enclosing the characters “da gu”, double happiness, flanked by a smaller panel with a cyclical date “Jizhou”, the reverse with a matching ovoid panel enclosing the two caracters “xi”, “happiness”, conjoined side by side.
An ivory panel forming the neck and mounth.
